INDOOR PLAY UPDATE

Hello everyone just a quick update for those who want to avoid sun/rain/heat/wind (and from my latest poll that was 66% of you!). We will start offering indoor play at SWING's beautiful AIR CONDITIONED facility starting next week. We will start small and see what the demand is (courts cannot be cancelled so I need everyone's commitment here). We will offer play on 3 courts on Thursday from 2-4 open to all and Saturday 10-12 for advanced play. The cost will be $12 per person for two hours. Please e-transfer your fee to GTPBCTREASURER(miuku)GMAIL(piste)COM prior to the playing slot to secure your spot. This will be mostly 'bucket' play like the winter so no court hosts will be present, balls and buckets will be supplied and I count on everyone's support in respecting the rules of the facility and making play enjoyable for all.
Also a bit of good news, all 36 lesson slots for next week have been filled! Please say Hi to Gino if you see him on the courts.

Today 9-11 session.
I was the host of this session. I last checked it just before 8 am today. There were 7 signed up, so the session was a go. Only 4 attended, which included a player who signed up after 8 am. Which means that there were 4 no shows. Come on people! You all know the rules and why they are in place.
Perhaps the 4 of you should host so you get an understanding of your actions.
Anyways we had fun. Isn't the wind wonderful!
People are no showing way too much imo
Believe it or not...I did not realize I was registered for Pickleball for the 9-11 session this morning until a friend asked me why I was not at Pickleball this morning. While in the registration menu looking at the sessions I inadvertently most have scrolled over the "in". I already had another commitment this morning and would never double book myself.
As I reflect on my situation, having had an email reminder that I had booked a session, I would have picked up my error and cancelled. I wonder if the system can be set up to send automatic reminders to the individuals that have signed up for a session.
As I reflect on your message, I understand your frustration and I am glad that you still had a good time. I wonder if it was necessary to express your disappointment by telling everyone that "perhaps the 4 of you should host so you get an understanding of your actions" as you have no idea what was going on in peoples' lives this morning to cause them not to show up. The session was not at capacity so no one missed out on playing pickleball. Still YES we ideally need to cancel if we cant make it.
Play for Saturday June 3 from 11-1 is cancelled due to lack of players.
